It takes about 10-15 hours per week without guidance, 4-5 hours per week with an upgraded package from Fireside Pools.  Average pools can be completed within less than 90 days.

Fireside always recommends using licensed bonded and insured sub-contractors, so that you have confidence in their work and you would be using the same builders the pool companies use.  With the Fireside Package, you get a list of  local sub-contractors in your area.

The warranties provided are typically those provided by the sub-contractor, and by ensuring you hire a liscensed, bonded and insured contractor, they typically provide the same standard warranties as traditional pool building companies, regardless if a pool company or homeowner builder hires them.

On average, homeowner builders save 25% or more on their pool compared with going with traditional pool companies.  See Cost & Comparisons for more info on pool costs.

Yes, however, we recommend paying cash for your pool if possible.  We recommend using personal loans for or as an alternative, home equity loans/line of credit if financing is needed.  This gives you the option to access to the cash you need, generally at a lower rate compared to traditional pool loans which pay the pool company directly.  This will allow you to use the money to distribute to the sub-contractors you will hire to do the work.
